„abstrakt-plastische Farbensprache“

My principally work is Monotypie implemented in oil, which I call “abstrakt-plastische Farbensprache”.     It´s a three-dimensional relief-oil-print-painting. In 1996 the first two paintings were created in this technique:  “Der Keim des Lebens” and “Wechsel Bild”. Since then, I developed this technique more and more. With the help of this technique I go a decisive step  “into the third dimension”, which is closed to a lot of painters.   My work leans on the “informelle Malerei”. Both, the “lyrische Abstraktion” and the “konstruktive Abstraktion” slip into my paintings. Principally and consciously I refer to the pure effect of colours and abstain from imitating representional reality. My paintings shall not be symbols and/or copies for something else, but essentially refer and make impression to themselfes. The play together of colours in each painting is, what through not representational existence refers to effect and being of the painting. The straight renunciation -especially in younger paintings- of shapes respectively objects enables the viewer the greatest intellectual space, refrain from “foreign domination” of perception and suggest the ability of observers association.

 

“Blues inspirierte Abstraktionen”

This cycle developed from my second love, the music. Beside the painting I am a musician who plays keyboard and learned to play the drums as well. I surround myself as often as possible with music. Painting without music is not possible for me. When I enter the studio I turn on the music and it ceaseses, when I leave. It is an urge to let music flow into my paintings.
With “Blues inspirierte Abstraktionen” I am inspired and controled by music, and implement these feelings in color and form. The deliberate refrain from giving titels for the paintings I want to avoid the art interested people from restriction an manipulation of their imagination and thoughts. The viewer shall be approach to the painting unaffected with his own point of view for music. He shall understand, be inspired and so broaden his horizon of experience.

 

“Arbeiten in Öl”

All thoughts and imaginations, which are in my head and which devote a great deal of my time are expressed in my “Arbeiten in Öl”. As you can see on the diversity of themes, the reasons are society points of view, dreams, impressions from holidays or other pondering. If a theme is captured in my thoughts, I have to implement and captivate it on canvas. Otherwise it is not possible, to work on other paintings with calmness or to get involved with new inspirations or to get inspiration at all.
